ABOUT

HISTORY

In 1993 I opened ‘The Heidi Rhodes School of Dancing’ in my converted garage.  It was not long before I had to move to larger premises and St Stephen’s church hall in Windsor was our first venue.  Over the years the school has greatly expanded and used many venues.  I was delighted that after eight years of trying to get planning permission on various venues locally, we finally opened our own studios in Windsor in 2010.  In addition to our studio we still hold junior classes at other locations in Berkshire and Surrey.

OUR AIM

The aims of our school are to provide a consistently high standard of teaching in a relaxed and happy environment, with the flexibility to respond to individual child needs, encouraging our students to take pride in their dancing to achieve their best.  As a school we teach RAD Ballet, ISTD Modern and Tap and LCM Acting and all examinations taken in the school are included on the national qualifications framework.

PERFORMANCES

We get involved in lots of activities outside the normal syllabus and we have performed at The London Palladium, Sadler’s Wells, Her Majesty’s, The Royal Albert Hall, Theatre Royal Windsor, Legoland Windsor, Indigo at the O2 and Disneyland Paris!

APPEARANCES

We were featured on the BBC Culture Show and dancers from the school have appeared in Sound of Music UK Tour, Matilda, Billy Elliot, Blue Peter, London Children’s Ballet and Teletubbies on television.  We currently have dancers in full time vocational schools and attending associate classes at The Royal Ballet School, Elmhurst School for Dance, Laine Theatre Arts, London Studio Centre, Tring Park, Central School of Ballet, Legat School of Dance, Ballet Boost, London Junior & Senior Ballet, The Urdang Academy, Young Dancers Academy and English National Ballet School.
